Tutorial – How to Edit Your Classroom Pieces in PowerPoint (Mac)
1. First, you'll want to find the piece you want to edit. In this example, we're going to edit the January Newsletter!
2. Type "newsletter" and hit [[Enter]] or press the blue magnifying glass search icon.
3. Click the piece you want to edit to download it to your computer.
4. Open the Download up from your Downloads.
5. Once your Document is open, double-click the bottom bar to enter your Contact Info.
6. Type your name, company, phone number, or what you'd like to include here!
7. Click outside of the edit area to stop editing that portion.
8. On page two of your PowerPoint file, double-click into the Agent Contact Info Here box to enter your information. We suggest adding at least your name, company, phone number, and website!
9. If you'd like to change the text alignment, at the top, choose an alignment. For this I chose "Align Left".
10. You can move this text box around to wherever you see fit!
11. Click the "Your Logo Here" icon.
12. On the left side, the "Format Picture" panel should pop out.
13. Click the Fill & Line tab
14. Click "Picture or texture fill"
15. Click "Insert..."
16. Select an image from your files to insert as your logo.
17. You can customize how your logo looks with the tabs inside here! Add a drop shadow, change the size, etc.!
18. Select the photograph placeholder image.
19. On the left side panel in "Format Picture," select "Picture or texture fill"
20. Click "Insert..."
21. Choose an image from your files for your photo!
22. Use the white squares on the outside edges to resize as you'd like!
23. Click in the outside area to save deselect your image.
24. Alternatively, to change either image, you can also click "Change Picture" under the "Picture Format" tab of the nav bar.
25. Select "From a File..." to choose from your files!
26. If you'd like to edit the text, select the text you'd like to edit!
27. Delete what you don't want!
28. Select the text you'd like to change, and type in your changes where you see fit! 🙂
29. Now you're ready to save your file! Click "File"
30. Click "Save" to save the changes to the PowerPoint file.
31. To export as a PDF, click "File" again.
32. Click "Export..."
33. Call the file what you'd like, being sure to save it somewhere you can find it, and then select "Export."
